Darren
gained a Masters degree in natural history
illustration at the Royal College of Art, London in
1997. Since then he has exhibited his work at the
Society of Wildlife artist’s annual exhibition in the
Mall Galleries, London. In 1994 and 1996 he was
awarded the society’s bursary for Travel and
Education and currently serves on the SWLA council.
His work has been exhibited throughout the UK and abroad, including at the ‘Birds in Art’ exhibition at Leigh Yawkey Woodson Art Museum, USA, in 2000 and 2001.
Darren has travelled extensively and has participated in the Society of Wildlife artists’ project to the New Forest, Hampshire and also on the ‘Artists for Nature’ trips to the Spanish Pyrenees, Portuguese Algarve and the Tumbes region of Peru and Ecuador.
All of Darren’s work is produced directly from one-to-one contact in the field.
